Phytochemical Studies on Origanum acutidens
Esen Sezen Karaoğlan, Ufuk Özgen, Cavit Kazaz
Abstract
Origanum species (Lamiaceae) are commenly used as herbal tea, flavoring agents and medicinal plants all over the world. Rosmarinic acid, lithospermic acid, vicenin-2, betulalbuside A, 8-OH-linaloyl glycoside, ursolic acid, oleanolic acid were isolated from the aerial parts of Origanum acutidens in this study. Their structures were identified by means of spectroscopic methods (1D- and 2D-NMR).
